Hierzu wird zunächst die Adsorption der Moleküle auf verschiedenen Oberflächen charakterisiert und anschliessend deren Redoxzustand durch gezielten Ladungstransfer gesteuert. Die Aufgabenstellung umfasst zunächst die Überführung der Moleküle ins Ultrahochvakuum, die hochauflösende Abbildung sowie die elektronische Charakterisierung der Moleküle. Im finalen Schritt soll schliesslich der molekulare Redoxzustand durch gezielten Ladungstransfer mit der STM-Spitze manipuliert werden, um unterschiedliche Informationszustände zu simulieren
