Position: Senior Simulation Technologist

Duties: The Simulation Program has been established to deliver excellence in education and training through three complimentary arms: Centre based simulation: through clinical skills workshops (technical/non-technical skills), & internal and external training courses. In-situ simulation Department based simulation sessions to test existing systems for latent threats, train inter-professional teams in crisis management and communication, and address clinical risks identified by local departments/wards/organisation. To assist the wider community to gain insight into the healthcare profession, raise the profile of and encourage recognition of the importance of simulation in healthcare education and maintenance of clinical skills
Requirements: Significant experience as a Simulation technologist with skills to facilitate Simulation-based education in the Simulation environment. Biomedical, audio visual, or information technology qualifications, or equivalent qualifications. Technical knowledge and experience working with computers and/or in a hospital environment. Competent administrator experienced with all Microsoft Office programs. Prior experience with StudioCode or similar Simulation Software
   
Text: Position Details Reference Number 28724 Position Title Senior Simulation Technologist Employment Type Fixed Term Location 50 Flemington Road Position Summary Senior Simulation Technologist This role is 1.0 FTE with an option of part-time at 0.7FTE (Fixed term - ending 30th June 2020). An opportunity may exist for on-going work beyond June 2020 with a new Simulation grant. The hospital: The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne is one of the world's greatest children's hospitals. We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas. Essential qualifications and experience required are: Significant experience as a Simulation technologist with skills to facilitate Simulation -based education in the Simulation environment Biomedical, audio visual, or information technology qualifications, or equivalent qualifications Technical knowledge and experience working with computers and/or in a hospital environment Strong customer service focus and ability to work within a team Competent administrator experienced with all Microsoft Office programs. Prior experience with StudioCode or similar Simulation Software.
