Position: Associate Lecturer/Lecturer - Applied Mathematics

Requirements: A completed PhD (or PhD Thesis submitted for examination for a level A) in an area of applied mathematics; Demonstrated expertise in an area of stochastic differential equations, optimisation, applied mathematical modelling and financial mathematics; Demonstrated potential in securing externally funded research projects; Demonstrated ability to complete research projects and write up the results in publishable form; Demonstrated ability to teach across the undergraduate program in mathematics

We provide a learning and research environment that is supported by highly-qualified academic staff with expertise covering a wide range of sub-disciplines within the mathematical sciences. This position will carry out teaching, research, governance and community outreach/professional service duties. We are looking for an applied mathematician who has research experience in the field(s) of stochastic differential equations, with priority being given to candidates with research strength in stochastic optimisation, stochastic modelling in biology or medicine, and stochastic processes in financial mathematics.
