Duties: We are looking to recruit a mental health practitioner with experience of working with students to join our Student Support & Wellbeing Service providing advice, information and support to the wellbeing of students at UCL. You will develop and deliver non-therapeutic support services specifically for students with mental health difficulties at UCL and the London Business School. In addition, you will provide information and advice to disabled students and prospective disabled students, particularly those with mental health difficulties
Requirements: You must have a relevant professional qualification in the field of mental health, knowledge and understanding of UK disability legislation and an understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues (Equality Act and Data Protection Act). You will have supervisory responsibility for the casework of the Wellbeing Advisors and line management responsibility for a team of Mental Health Mentors. As such, experience of working with people with a wide range of mental health difficulties and disabilities is essential. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to liaise with all people at all levels, have a proactive practical approach to the provision of advice and be able to provide a quality support service to all students who access the service. It is essential that you have the ability to work independently and to use your own initiative as well as being able to work well as part of a team
