Position: Software Engineer in Test - Controls/Identification
Institution: The MathWorks, Inc.
Location: Natick, Massachusetts, United States
Duties: Design and develop test plans based upon functional and design specifications. Participate in functional reviews, test specification, documentation, and code reviews. Create and maintain automated and manual test suites including GUI test automation. Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities. Analyze and report bugs and work with software engineers to resolve them. Foster a continuous process improvement environment
Requirements: A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required. Programming experience in MATLAB. Demonstrated expertise writing automated test plans and cases for control design and automation or Control and System Identification technologies. Demonstrated expertise analyzing and debugging control design automation or Control and System Identification technologies

Come join our team and have a direct impact on the quality of products in the Controls area. You will be responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of the Control System Toolbox, Simulink Control Design, and other Controls products. You will engage early in the software development process, influencing requirements specifications, attending usability sessions, and discussing software design and testability with the development team to ensure that we deliver high quality software to our customers. Programming experience in MATLAB Additional Qualifications Demonstrated expertise writing automated test plans and cases for control design and automation or Control and System Identification technologies. Demonstrated expertise analyzing and debugging control design automation or Control and System Identification technologies. Experience using Simulink is a plus.
