You will develop computational and mathematical models in order to make synthetic biology and metabolic engineering a predictable endeavor, and enable commercially viable bioproducts. The incumbent will work as part of a cohesive team to integrate fluxomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics data into theoretical quantitative models able to guide metabolic engineering efforts. You will be working closely as part of the Agile BioFoundry with bench scientists, automation engineers and software developers in devising methods for high-throughput data collection and analysis for feedback into experimental design
PhD in systems biology, bioengineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, applied mathematics, theoretical physics, computer science or closely related discipline. Significant experience in python or other major programming language. Strong mathematical background and analytical skills. Experience in Monte Carlo sampling. Solid background in Bayesian inference. Strong interest in microbiology and bacterial metabolism
