Duties: The incumbent provides support in the design, development and maintenance of dynamic, data-driven programming projects, including but not limited to content-management system (CMS)-driven websites. Develops, debugs, tests, deploys, documents and maintains websites and web applications and services, based on business processes or user requirements and specifications. Work meets and/or uses the technical, administrative, and academic standards of the University of Toronto, and follows all policies and security requirements as well
Requirements: Bachelor degree or acceptable equivalent of education and experience. Four (4) years relevant experience developing medium to complex websites and web applications in a heterogeneous CMS environment; Experience with graphic design and web layout, with an attention to usability and accessibility standard. Working knowledge of content management systems and web application programming; Working knowledge of programming to APIs; Knowledge of other development languages (e.g. HTML5, XHTML, XML, PHP, Python C/C++, JavaScript, .Net, etc.); Experience developing for mobile environments an asset; Working knowledge of SQL an asset; Knowledge of Shibboleth and other authentication protocols is an asset
