As part of this project, the selected candidate will focus mostly on the generation of single-cell transcriptomic datasets and on the development of computational methods for their analysis. He/She will also cooperate with the other members of the group for the analysis of different NGS datasets (RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, BS-Seq, RRBS-Seq, ATAC-Seq)

Text: Our group of Environmental Epigenetics at the Institute of Experimental Genetics at the Helmholtz Zentrum in Munich studies epigenetic inheritance in mammals by combining mouse genetics with deep phenotyping and state-of-the-art bulk and single-cell genomics. At the next possible time the IEG is looking for a PhD Position computational single cell transcriptomics (f/m) 2018/0005 Job Description For a single-cell transcriptomic project, we are looking for a highly motivated PhD student with background in computational biology, preferably holding a Master degree in Bioinformatics, Mathematics or Statistics, or with proved computational experience. Basic wet lab experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
