Duties: Marsh has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to work as part of a global team heavily involved in Master Data Management, Data Analysis and Reconciliation. The Data Analyst classifies and manages master reference data to support optimal usage of the information within strategic applications and reporting. The successful candidate must be proficient in data analysis, research and investigation to ensure the group’s data integrity standards are met. This role collaborates and connects to business and technology stakeholders. Additionally the role will require you to remain flexible to changes within project/business requirements and be able to perform independently with regional groups, business users and I.T
Requirements: Recent graduate with strong analytical skills and a desire to work with data, or currently working as a Data Analyst and looking for the next step in your career. Exposure to data analysis, data quality or master reference data management. In the absence of the above we would also consider recent graduates with an analytical background with a strong interest in data. Essential Job Responsibilities Data stewardship for master reference data housed within a global repository that serves as the foundation of consuming strategic applications. Master reference data includes but is not limited to: company, industry, segmentation, geography and global application-specific elements. Manage internal and external master reference data and effect required changes in adherence with a consistent and pre-defined schedule for implementation. Perform data analysis to determine issues, draw conclusions, problem solve and make recommendations. Assure the highest quality and integrity of data to support accurate consistent, well understood and timely information is available for use business wide. Working as required with regional teams in identifying and documenting the sequence of tasks/steps needed to manage master reference data. Effectively communicate both written and orally to internal/business colleagues being serviced. Generate reports for data clean-up, quality control, data health check and data metrics.
