Duties: To prepare monolayers of surface adsorbed molecular magnets in ultra high vacuum and to study them using X-Ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) and other techniques. To perform near infrared optical studies of molecular magnets using Fourier-transform and laser spectroscopy. To analyze and publish the results in well respected scientific journals
Requirements: You hold a Master degree in physics or physical chemistry. You are highly motivated, experimentally skilled and interested in optics and magnetism. Furthermore you have good English communication skills. Ideally you have prior experience in the fields of laser or X-Ray absorption spectroscopy, molecular magnetism or surface science
