Position: Research Associate (Research Level ARAS)

Duties: The Research Associate will contribute to the research efforts of the Future Industries Institute (FII), that relate with the development of tumours-on-a-chip models and new approaches for cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will be required to initiate, plan and manage projects in cell and molecular biology, preclinical studies, and immunology. Conduct high-quality research, under limited supervision and in collaboration with industry and other stakeholders. Develop advanced in vitro tumour models and apply these models to test the efficacy of novel immunotherapeutic agents
Requirements: A PhD degree in cell biology, immunology or bioengineering and relevant research experience. Demonstrated skills and experience in cell and molecular biology, preclinical studies, and immunology. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in experimental design and result analysis. A record of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations commensurate with opportunity. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects ensuring milestones are met. Proven ability to work cooperatively in a research team with staff and students from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated high level communications skills and computer literacy, including presentation of scientific results to various stakeholders
