Requirements: You have successfully completed your studies of chemical engineering, physical engineering or a comparable subject (German “Dipl.-Ing.” (FH) or a "Bachelor" degree). You have experience in setting up and operating measuring and testing facilities. You have knowledge in the field of physical chemistry, in particular thermal diffusivity, gas analytics, pressure measurement and gravimetric methods. You have experience in the calibration of measuring instruments and their integration into complex measurement setups. Programming skills in LabView are advantageous. You are an excellent team player and have good communication skills. You have a good command of German and a solid knowledge of English

February 2019 The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is the National Metrology Institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with scientific and technical service tasks. It furthers progress and reliability in metrology for society, the economy and science. In Department 3.3 “Physical Chemistry” of Division 3, we are looking for an Engineer (German “Diplom” (FH) or “Bachelor” degree) specializing in chemical engineering or technical physics within the scope of the “INNO INDIGO III” project to join us as soon as possible. This position is available on the basis of a 1-year fixed-term contract. You will be employed at our Braunschweig site. The remuneration will be paid in accordance with remuneration group 10 TVöD Bund.
