Position: Advocate for Scholarly Communication and Research Process

Duties: Explain and promote OA and OS policies and the use of ORBilu with faculty and graduate students. Manage contact with users via the ORBilu helpdesk and the organisation of training sessions, conferences, workshops, and road shows. Actively participate in the OpenAIRE project as the National OA Desk for Luxembourg Drive forward the national working group on the development of a National Open Science Policy. Actively engage with faculty, students and staff in order to develop strong working relationships. Seek opportunities for collaboration with departments or institutes in the research arena. Speak knowledgably about issues such as scholarly communication, open science, institutional repositories
Requirements: Master degree (min. Bac+5), preferably in Information/Documentation Science or equivalent degree with experience in a library. Excellent knowledge of the scientific publishing world and on trends in Open Science policy. Good knowledge of the research environment in Luxembourg. Good working knowledge of copyright law Excellent communication skills. Rigor, organisational skills, customer oriented Team spirit, curiosity, dynamism and sense of initiative Fluent in English, good level in French and/or German (spoken & written), Luxembourgish would be an asset
