Position: Lecturer in Criminology

Duties: The post holder will work on the Lancaster University validated FdA/BA (Hons) Criminology and Criminal Justice programme, situated in the School of Art and Society and will support students to develop holistically, linking theory to practice and practice to theory, in relation to their work placement or current place of employment. You will demonstrate appropriate pedagogic practice in teaching, learning and assessment and support for students through the use of a wide range of learning resources and innovative practice
Requirements: UK Honours Degree or NARIC recognised degree in a relevant discipline. Postgraduate qualification at level 7 in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualification or willing to work towards (to achieve within 2 years of appointment). PGCE or other teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one (to achieve within 2 years of appointment). Strong awareness of contemporary developments within the Criminology. Experience of contributing to learning, teaching and assessment (teaching or research related). Excellent communication and administration skills. Good organisational ability. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Committed to the College’s Equality and Diversity agenda. Willingness to work flexibly
