Position: Lecturer (clinical) In Primary Dental Care

Duties: The post is designed to facilitate the development of holistic patient management skills and assist in the preparation of undergraduate dental students for Foundation Training. Clinical teaching will be based at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and will cover Restorative Dentistry, Oral Diagnosis, Acute Dental Care and Extractions. You will contribute to the development of teaching and assessment resources as directed by the Dean of the School or Teaching Leads for Restorative Dentistry/Oral Diseases
Requirements: Minimum of 5 year’s recent experience of Primary Dental Care. Evidence of training, coaching, or mentoring other dental professionals. Relevant CPD record. Full registration with the General Dental Council. Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent. Contemporaneous knowledge of issues pertinent to the delivery of primary dental care in the UK. The ability to provide evidence-based holistic dental care for a range of patients at a primary care level. Ability to work independently, to take the initiative, and to innovate. Knowledge of clinical and QA audit processes. Ability to work as a member of a team or group. Ability to relate to students with diverse backgrounds, ages and experience. Good written and verbal communication and team skills. Good time management and organisational skills
