Position: Postdoctoral researcher on 2D semiconductors for nanophotonics
Eindhoven University of Technology
Department: Department of Applied Physics
, Eindhoven , North Brabant Netherlands
Duties: We seek an ambitious and motivated researcher to advance the frontiers of nanophotonics with two-dimensional semiconductors. You will lead experimental research and compare your results with theoretical predictions. The project employs a combination of optical microscopy and spectroscopy, light emission and photodetection techniques, nanofabrication, and nanophotonic simulations. It merges concepts and techniques from nano-optics with the Physics of ultrathin semiconducting materials
Requirements: Ph.D. degree in Physics, Photonics or Electrical Engineering in a closely related discipline (or expect to graduate very soon). Past contributions to Nano-Optics/Nanophotonics, Metamaterials, Plasmonics, Optical Physics, as demonstrated by publications; experience in at least one of these topics is required. Only experimental profiles will be considered for this position. Drive to tackle a complex problem with independence and a dynamic character to lead a competitive project to completion. Excellent team-working and communication skills. Dynamic character and excellent communication skills to become a multiplying factor within our team. Ambition to excel in research
