Position: Estates Officer (Building Management System)

Duties: Responsible for overseeing and managing the University's Building Management System (BMS) by co-ordinating and providing an effective and efficient monitoring management program to reduce and meet carbon management targets, improve environment and delivery of service to customers, manage critical alarms, investigate out of condition faults and provide guidance to ensure that the BMS strategy is adhered to
Requirements: At least an ONC in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years’ recent relevant experience managing contractors, minor projects and a working knowledge of TREND and BMS networks. For candidates with an HNC or higher qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ recent relevant experience as outlined above. Up to date knowledge of the relevant regulations and codes of practice. Self-motivated, ability to work unsupervised, as well as operating as a member of a team. Computer literate, appropriate literacy/numeracy skills to prepare reports related to BMS systems/energy. Good technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skill. Willingness to work outside normal working hours as required. Prepared to carry mobile phone. Valid driving licence
