Requirements: The successful candidate will have a BSc or equivalent in Biochemistry/Immunology/Biomedical Sciences or related subject or a Technical Assistant degree. Competency in sterile cell culture and basic molecular biology skills are essential. Protective level of antibodies to Hepatitis B virus following previous vaccination and willingness to work out-of hours at short notice to process human liver samples are also essential. Experience of research in both human and mouse cellular immunology and compentency in multiparameter flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry/immunoflourescence is desirable
   
Text: Research Technician, - Ref:1791936 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division Division of Infection and Immunity Location of position London Grade 6 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) ?28,574 - ?33,487 per annum Duties and Responsibilities A Research Technician?s position is available, funded by a Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator Award to Professor Mala Maini, in UCL?s Division of Infection and Immunity (Bloomsbury campus, Rayne Institute). Work within the Division of Infection & Immunity aims to translate advances in the understanding of pathogens and the immune system into improved diagnosis and therapy. Its close link to the UCL Hospitals provides an excellent interface between science and medicine. Professor Maini strengthens these links by being actively involved in the recruitment of patients for studies from her out-patient clinics.
