Requirements: Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject, experience in image analysis and working with image analysis software such as Definiens Tissue Studio or comparable, the ability to develop algorithms for image analysis, and an in-depth understanding of statistical and analytical methodology. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and good inter-personal skills are also required
   
Text: Image Analyst , - Ref:1791113 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology Specific unit / Sub department Department of Neurodegenerative Disease/Division of Neuropathology Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) ?35,328 - ?38,303 per annum Duties and Responsibilities Applications are invited for an Image Analyst to implement image analysis by high-end image analysis programs within the research facility UCL IQPath, a research service providing the entire pathway of tissue processing, staining and image analysis. The current software platform uses Definiens Tissue Studio and Definiens Developer; open source software developed at Queen?s University Belfast is available in the context of this program. The purpose is to develop and implement a comprehensive set of analysis solutions that meet research needs. The post holder will become familiar with/undertake training in Definiens software components and their use, re-use and adapt existing bespoke solutions, identify undocumented analysis needs and translate these into user-oriented solutions, produce user guides, and deliver tutorials to all user levels. The post is available immediately and is funded jointly by departmental funds and a grant from CRUK for a period of three years in the first instance.
