Requirements: The successful candidate will have proven experience in a project management, contract procurement and service management in changing environment. The Building Services Engineer must possess an extensive practical experience and relevant technical knowledge including the management of maintenance operations using contractors and directly employed staff. A thorough knowledge and experience of maintenance operations in a large multi- site organisation is also essential

With an annual maintenance spend approaching ?30m, managed through a team of 50 technical staff and a wide range of service and specialist contracts (circa 50). The team manages maintenance services, contracts, long-term maintenance and improvements to buildings and infrastructure including critical statutory requirements such as Legionella, asbestos and other complex building related requirements. The role will include managing/undertaking inspections, surveys, risk assessments, feasibility studies and diagnostic fault finding and initiate appropriate actions; establish the most practical and effective resolution of problems.
