Coordination and monitoring of BRCCH's research portfolio. Identification of national and international funding opportunities aligned with BRCCH's mission
Requirements: You hold a doctoral degree in medicine, natural sciences related to biomedical, biomedical engineering or public health research and have experience at the post-doctoral level in academic research organizations or in R&D departments of private or public institutions. Besides having excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, you are motivated to contribute actively to the Centre's scientific quest and to support its development to an internationally leading institution dedicated to research in child and adolescent health. You enjoy working in small and efficient teams and are effective in taking up new challenges. A sound knowledge of standard IT tools is essential
   
Text: Scientific Officer | Botnar Research Centre for Child Health 60-100% The Botnar Research Centre for Child Health (BRCCH) has been jointly founded by the University of Basel and ETH Zurich in 2018. BRCCH is dedicated to medical research for children and adolescents. In addition, BRCCH has also partnerships with the University Children's Hospital in Basel and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and actively seeks to broaden its network of collaborations. The BRCCH is seeking a dynamic, motivated and highly interactive Scientific Officer with a keen and broad interest in biomedical, biomedical engineering or public health research. Your expertise and commitment will make a substantial contribution towards the mission of the BRCCH and its aim to create novel solutions for the health of children and adolescents worldwide. Previous work experience in developing countries is an asset. Besides having excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, you are motivated to contribute actively to the Centre's scientific quest and to support its development to an internationally leading institution dedicated to research in child and adolescent health. You enjoy working in small and efficient teams and are effective in taking up new challenges. Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills are expected in English, skills in German are a strong asset. A sound knowledge of standard IT tools is essential. We offer The opportunity to join the core team of the BRCCH in its start-up phase. The position is an integral part of the management office of the Centre in Basel/Switzerland. We offer flexible working hours and home office upon consultation. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2021, with the possibility of further extension.
