Duties: We are currently seeking a Confocal Technician delivering expert technical advice and comprehensive training in single-/multi-photon confocal, lightsheet, high content imaging and widefield microscopy to users of the unit. The role holder will provide the computing skills for all our software packages, some of which are bespoke, home written database functions. The unit serves the whole of the UCL bioscience and biomedicine research community. The unit has a number of confocal microscopes including multi-photon confocal, Lightsheet microscope, widefield fluorescence microscopes, high throughput plate scanner and slide scanner
Requirements: Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of extensive knowledge of computer programing using a number of computer languages and computer programing experience in CC, php, MySql, ImageJ script, Python and Java. Candidate should have ability to analyse data and experience with all the mainstream software packages, including 3D packages. Candidate should have ability to process multidimensional imaging data from a variety of imaging platforms for downstream analysis

We are currently seeking a Confocal Technician delivering expert technical advice and comprehensive training in single-/multi-photon confocal, lightsheet, high content imaging and widefield microscopy to users of the unit. The unit provides expert support to users on Image processing/analysis and statistical analysis using a wide range of specialist software packages that the post holder will help deliver. The role holder will provide the computing skills for all our software packages, some of which are bespoke, home written database functions. The unit serves the whole of the UCL bioscience and biomedicine research community. The unit has a number of confocal microscopes including multi-photon confocal, Lightsheet microscope, widefield fluorescence microscopes, high throughput plate scanner and slide scanner. New equipment is being purchased in 2019 to facilitate our strategic drive for CLEM.
