Duties: This Ph.D. research is part of a larger project looking at the military history of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (1815 to present) in a transnational context, funded by the University of Luxembourg in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence. The research team will investigate military history combining three approaches: (1) War and Society, (2) International Relations, (3) Small-State-Theory. The successful candidate will be expected to prepare a doctoral thesis on the inter-war and post-second-world-war period
Requirements: Master Degree or equivalent in a field related to history, political and social sciences. Language skills: Writing and speaking in English and French or German; reading and listening in all three languages
