Position: Senior Research Fellow in Medical Statistics

Duties: The Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) is a specialist unit set up within the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology with a specific remit to design, conduct, analyse and publish clinical trials and other well-designed studies. Thepost holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of all statistical aspects of specific research projects, liaising with relevant CCTU staff to support data management, interim and final analyses and presentation of reports to oversight committees
Requirements: The successful applicant must possess an MSc in Medical Statistics (or a closely related subject), or a BSc in Statistics plus substantial relevant experience as a statistician in health-related research

Thepost holder will also work with colleagues and external investigators to develop both outline and full research proposals for new trials, providing expert input into design issues and statistical resources required.
