Position: Senior Project Manager Development Incubator

Duties: In this position you will manage the project planning of the Medical Device and Combinatorial Product Projects from the call for concept ideas to the proof of concept and market valorization. In addition to this, you will coordinate the development of the regulatory strategy for new products. This includes performing or supporting business planning for new projects. Additionally, you will evaluate applications to the AO Development Incubator in medical devices especially as relates to biological products
Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must have a higher degree in sciences, engineering or business, in-depth experience in the R&D process for medical devices as well as in-depth expertise in the fields of medtech, biomechanics, orthopedics, or surgery. Ideally you already have management experience in translational research with responsibility for resources/costs and the management of external specialists as well as for negotiating with inventors (or universities, etc.) and other third parties. You should demonstrate a quick understanding of complex procedures and have good communication and relationship skills with technical as well as commercial and market specialists. You need to be highly conscientious in planning and project management and have a sound approach to the assessment of technical and market risks. You should further demonstrate high aptitude and skills for identifying conflict areas and also be adept at finding and implementing sustainable solutions. You must be able to work with different stakeholders and have adequate language skills in English (C1) and German (A2)
