Contribute to undergraduate, teaching programmes within the School, i.e. teaching and supervision of students in areas of practice related to Diagnostic Radiography and undertake placement visits. Provide learning support and studies advice to allocated students; Undertake leadership activities within the School; Supervision of undergraduate student research projects; Undertake administrative duties as specified, and participate in the corporate activities of the School and staff group; Undertake other such duties as may be required by the Head of School and as appropriate to the grade and nature of the post
Professional registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the HCPC or eligible to apply. First or upper second class honours degree or higher, or equivalent, in Diagnostic Radiography. Membership of the Society and College of Radiographers, or eligible to apply. Up to date, recent or current clinical experience, demonstrating competence across a broad range of diagnostic imaging techniques and specialist imaging modalities. Experience of having been involved in the support and supervision of Diagnostic Radiography students in the clinical or academic environment. Evidence of other post-registration professional development activity. Evidence of applying current knowledge and expertise in the practice and delivery of diagnostic imaging services. Current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to diagnostic radiography and other aspects of imaging. Evidence of ability to contribute to the development strategy within the subject area. Evidence of effective teamwork in professional and interprofessional relationships. Excellent communication skills. Evidence of improving efficiency and quality through motivating and encouraging others. Evidence of ability to work independently. Demonstrate an understanding of the linkages between research and teaching. Experience of clinical audit and/or project management/service development. Evidence of having used research evidence to inform professional practice. Evidence of ability to deliver a clear structured presentation using appropriate audio visual aids. Willing and available to travel to meet the needs of the post including between University sites and to clinical placements. Knowledge of or practical experience in the use of e-learning. Access NI check. The appointed person will be required to undertake and receive a satisfactory Access NI check prior to taking up employment (The Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults (NI) Order 2003)
