Duties: Your duties will include conducting research in the area of plant quantitative genetics, specifically involving methodologies to predict the number of loci controlling measured traits. Your tasks will primarily involve computational, analytical, and theoretical work, but may also include time in the field and/or lab. Your work will take place in the research group of Professor Timothy Beissinger. In addition to your research-related responsibilities, you will teach courses as defined in Section 31 of the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (NHG) and Administer examinations
Requirements: The successful candidate will hold a highly qualified PhD in Quantitative Genetics, Population Genetics, Plant/Animal breeding, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field and have an interest in methods development. The applicant's willingness to work in a collaborative research group, which requires proficiency in the English language, is critical. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to present their work at scientific meetings, publish results, and teach effectively. Please note: fluency in German is not required

This position should be filled as soon as possible. Salary: Pay grade 13 TV-L.
