This post would be suitable for an enthusiastic clinician, with experience of working within the UK clinical context and a passion for teaching and education. We would be happy to see applications from a range of backgrounds including doctors, nurses and other health professionals who fulfil the essential criteria to be found on the personal specifications of the job description. The post has core responsibility for clinical skills teaching, curriculum development and assessment on the MBBS programme of a large medical school with a reputation for excellence and innovation in Clinical Skills. In addition, the postholder would contribute to teaching on the intercalated BSc in Medical Education, including taking responsibility for supervision of the near-peer clinical skills teaching that they deliver. There are opportunities for broadening an educational portfolio via staff development, research and teaching opportunities. This post is part-time time and fixed term for one year as a result of maternity leave, and it is expected that the successful candidate will hold it for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month. Starting salary will be in the £41,300 - £60,589 pro rata per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
