Duties: The role holder will focus on recruitment to clinical trials and conducting and coordinating trial visits of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases in the rheumatology department at UCLH including studies that are underway in the Joint and related inflammatory Diseases Translational Research Collaboration (TRC). Trials vary from observational where the main duties will be phlebotomy and collecting a range of clinical metrics to interventional trials (CTIMPS) where the post-holder will be responsible for all nursing duties including the administration of the investigational medicinal product
Requirements: Experience of nursing in (a) rheumatology and (b) in the clinical trial setting is desirable (The post holder must have either a or b, preference will be given to those with both). You must be RCN registered. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as being a good team player. You will require the expertise to perform venesection and cannulation and have strong data handling skills

The team has grown from one research nurse to a team of 7 including three research nurses, one trial coordinator, a data manager, a clinical fellow and a consultant supported by Professors Ehrenstein and Isenberg. The role holder will focus on recruitment to clinical trials and conducting and coordinating trial visits of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases in the rheumatology department at UCLH including studies that are underway in the Joint and related inflammatory Diseases Translational Research Collaboration (TRC).
