Duties: To work as a member of a team providing a comprehensive administration and support service to the PA & Project Coordinator, the Director of Estates & Facilities and the Head of Campus Operations and Facilities. You are expected to participate in training and development activities as necessary to meet job, institutional and personal development. Training and development is primarily focused as developing you in your present role. However, some part of the long-term training strategy of the University includes identifying personal development needs that will improve your performance and skills as an employee of the University
Requirements: Educated to A Level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience. Experience and understanding of the Higher and Further Education Creative environments. Comprehensive administrative experience in an educational or similar office environment. Ability to produce accurate and succinct notes of meetings. Demonstrates strong IT skills with knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office programs to support an effective administrative function Good interpersonal skills, displaying a confident and friendly approach with the ability to deal sensitively and appropriately in different situations within a diverse environment Ability to adapt and work effectively in different situations to prioritise and carry out a variety of tasks while remaining calm under pressure. Ability to track and manage projects and/or planning events to ensure their successful completion. Ability to use initiative, tact and judgement in dealing with internal and external enquiries. Demonstrates the ability to work in a supportive role within a team, collaborates with colleagues to solve problems and innovate. Demonstrates the ability to be pro-active, organise own work along with that of others and ad-hoc project related work. Knowledge and experience of H &S legislation
Text: Project and Office Administrator Estates and Facilities Location: Farnham Salary: £19,202 to £22,017 per annum Fixed Term Contract for 2 years Closing Date: Tuesday 01 January 2019 Interview Date: Thursday 10 January 2019 Reference: 18-ESTAYYY-0676-1 We are looking to appoint a Project and Office Administrator for our Estates & Facilities department based in Farnham. The successful applicant will have comprehensive administration and note taking experience in an educational or similar office environment and understand the Higher and / or Further Education Creative Arts environment. Applicants will have a good standard of secondary education to A level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience. You will have good interpersonal skills, display a confident and friendly approach and be able to act sensitively and appropriately in different situations. Excellent communication skills and team working is essential to the role as is H&S knowledge and experience. You would need to be adaptable and able to prioritise, take initiative and carry out a variety of tasks. Project administration is crucial to this role as is good IT skills and strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office programs. The willingness to learn new software from the creative suite is also desirable.
