Position: Program Support Officer, Professional Experience

Duties: As the Program Support Officer, Professional Experience, you will be responsible for the placement of Pre-Service teachers in Education programs, the placement of students in the Bachelor of Community and Human Services and the Master of Social Work programs undertaking professional experience within the School of Education and the School of Arts. As the successful applicant, you will perform administrative duties ensuring efficient communication with placement organisations, students and staff involved in professional experience. You will also maintain student records and databases for professional experiences
Requirements: Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an advanced diploma qualification and at least one year’s subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a diploma qualification and at least two years’ subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures, and to provide accurate and timely advice to stakeholders. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the capacity to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure quality customer satisfaction as well as the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, meet tight deadlines while paying attention to detail. Demonstrated administrative skills, including the ability to maintain efficient and effective record-keeping and filing systems and databases. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a team as well as the capacity to work in a collegiate manner with other staff in the workplace and across campuses. Advanced level skills in the use of computer software packages, including spreadsheets and databases. Demonstrated alignment with the University’s commitment to child safety
