Duties: To be responsible for participating in and developing academically rigorous and imaginative programmes of teaching and research. Initially this will be the MSc and BSc Nursing programme. In addition, to contribute to aspects of course management within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. To be part of an experienced team of Lecturers and Teaching Fellows, determined to develop nursing students that contribute to and shape the development of contemporary Nursing practice
Requirements: Current registration with the NMC as an Adult Nurse. Degree in a health related subject. Postgraduate Diploma. Masters degree in a health or education related subject or equivalent experience. Recognised Teaching Qualification or NMC recorded teacher status. Substantial clinical experience in Nursing. Experience of supporting pre-registration Nursing students in a HEI and/or practice setting. Current links with clinical practice. Evidence of Participation in scholarship/research/innovative practice. Experience of curriculum development. Excellent communication skills, including oral presentation and writing, and attention to detail. Able to work effectively within a team. Able to work to tight deadlines with competing demands. Competent with ICT such as Microsoft (all applications) Google applications and WebCT. Able to lead specified programme areas. Able to work on own initiative

You should hold current registration with the NMC as an Adult Nurse and hold a Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in a Health related subject. In addition you will also have experience of supporting pre-registration nursing students in a higher education and or practice setting, and be able to develop curricula and lead on its implementation.
