Duties: We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Admissions Assistants within in the School of Human and Health Sciences. Working closely with the admissions team and academic staff, the successful applicants will be involved with the admission of students to undergraduate, postgraduate and post registration courses, from initial enquiry to registration
Requirements: Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills. ECDL or equivalent. Good general standard of education including at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above or grade C or above if awarded under the previous grading scheme, including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. One year’s experience working with word processing packages and databases such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy. Strong organisational skills. Able to work under pressure and cope with change. Ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to work on own initiative. Flexible approach to working hours

Applicants must have at least 5 GSCEs - grade 4 or above or grade C or above if awarded under the previous GCSE grading scheme, including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent, excellent keyboard skills, a good working knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Office and have experience of using databases and spreadsheets. Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate at all levels in a tactful and diplomatic manner. Experience of student admissions work within Higher Education would be desirable.
