Duties: Queen Mary University of London is recruiting for a Planning Manager (Academic Performance: REF) to contribute to planning and decision making across the university and to provide leadership within the Strategic Planning Office. The role will be pivotal in supporting academic performance in external assessment exercises, for example through leading, managing and delivering the development and submission of QMUL’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) return

The role will be pivotal in supporting academic performance in external assessment exercises, for example through leading, managing and delivering the development and submission of QMUL’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) return. The post holder should have substantial knowledge of national and international policy developments and innovation in higher education, and experience in research-focused strategic planning. We are looking for someone who: is highly numerate and adept at analysing and interpreting data for audiences with varying levels of knowledge; has an understanding of UK HE external assessment exercises for research; has a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the University has the ability to play a full part an innovative and customer focused professional team. The position is a permanent post. Starting salary will be in the range £46,489 to £51,899 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
