Duties: The (Senior) Teaching Fellow is a key member of the Institute’s Education Team, with significant responsibility for the education programme. They will work with colleagues to manage the programme but also to develop and expand it as opportunities arise. The post holder will be committed to updating their knowledge of education and training methods and of clinical trials. They will provide support and mentorship for students enrolled on the Institute’s education programme
Requirements: The successful candidate will have sound experience of teaching or training in fields related to clinical trials or life sciences preferably within Higher Education and/or a research-intensive environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the development and delivery of original innovative educational material including digital education, the use of virtual learning environments and using multi-media tools. They will need to be enthusiastic about education and training, while working collaboratively and flexibly within, and across, teams within ICTM and the wider faculty. The successful applicant will have a postgraduate qualification in a discipline relevant to clinical trials/methodology, for example life sciences or statistics, or a postgraduate qualification in another discipline. A postgraduate certificate in education and/or accreditation in teaching would be an advantage

The Faculty brings together expertise in Child Health, Women's and Reproductive Health, Population Health, Global Health, Cardiovascular Science, Clinical Trials and Health Informatics, in a unique grouping that spans the life-course. The ICTM has developed an ambitious educational programme that spans the educational life course. Activity includes a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and short courses, delivery of undergraduate Clinical Trials modules, a PhD programme and one of very few face-to-face MSc programmes in Clinical Trials.
