Position: Internship for programming interactive website using R

Duties: The aim of the position is to update the current static reporting (pdfs generated with Sweave) and prepare the transition of the reporting into a web-based interactive tool for SCQM sponsor companies. A proof of concept containing a first table and some additional functionalities is available in flexdashboard (based on R shiny)

Text: Looking for intern with top R / R shiny skills The SCQM Foundation runs national cohorts to collect data on inflammatory rheumatic diseases (Rheumatoid Arthritis, axial Spondyloarthritis and Psoriatic arthritis). The data collection is performed via a user friendly online database with extensive (interactive) feedback on a per patient level. This is used by Rheumatologist and their patients for the long-term patient / therapeutic management. The collected data can be used in a pseudo-anonymized way for research. See www.scqm.ch for short information videos about SCQM. A small group of statisticians is in place in the SCQM with the following main tasks 1) provide research support to rheumatologists working with SCQM data 2) report on SCQM data for sponsors and other stakeholders and 3) manage and support further development of the SCQM online database. The aim of the position (related to above mentioned task 2) is to update the current static reporting (pdfs generated with Sweave) and prepare the transition of the reporting into a web-based interactive tool for SCQM sponsor companies (see figure). A proof of concept containing a first table and some additional functionalities is available in flexdashboard (based on R shiny). Depending on the profile of the intern, some statistical aspects (primarily prediction models) may be integrated into the interactive reporting platform project. If the intern has the necessary IT development skills, work on the end-toend digitisation from the SCQM database to the web-site can be included into the scope of this internship.
