The project applies epidemiological methods and is based on national register data from a quality register on diabetes care, as well as other registers with information on medicines, hospital care, socioeconomic characteristics, and mortality. Data management and statistical analyses are performed in SAS. The tasks include planning, organizing and conducting research within the project in collaboration with multi professional research group
Requirements: The successful applicant should have a completed PhD in pharmaceutical outcomes research, epidemiology, or other relevant topic upon start of the service. Documented record of publications in peer-reviewed journals is required. In addition practical experience of work with Swedish national register data (in particular the Swedish Prescribed Drug Register) and text mining is required, including data management and statistical analyses in SAS. Proficiency in Swedish language and good language skills in English are needed
   
Text: OPEN POSITIONS Researcher Diary id: PAR 2018/1518 Employment level: Time limited employment (temporary) Location: Institute of Medicine Apply by: 2018-11-26 The employment will be placed at the Institute of Medicine, The Section for Epidemiology and Social Medicine (EPSO). EPSO is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs within medicine, pharmacy and public health, but also gives different types of commission courses. Research areas include health-related lifestyle factors, life-course epidemiology, social inequalities, social structures and social factors in health and disease. Job assignments The tasks include conducting research in pharmacoepidemiology within a research project on adherence to medication treatment among patients with diabetes and effects on health outcomes. The project applies epidemiological methods and is based on national register data from a quality register on diabetes care, as well as other registers with information on medicines, hospital care, socioeconomic characteristics, and mortality. Data management and statistical analyses are performed in SAS. The tasks include planning, organizing and conducting research within the project in collaboration with multi professional research group. Data management, statistical analysis and writing manuscripts for peer review journals are included among the tasks. Supervision and teaching linked with the project may be included to limited degree.
