Duties: The Department of Nursing is seeking applicants for an ongoing pool of nursing instructors and registered dieticians. Primary responsibility for nursing instructors: teach undergraduate or graduate courses with both the clinical and didactic components in one of our BSN, MSN, or DNP programs. Primary responsibility for registered dietician: teach nutrition to sophomore level nursing students
Requirements: Nursing Instructors: Eligibility for Pennsylvania RN licensure; advanced practice certification, if applicable. Commitment to working with diverse populations. Doctoral (DNP) Courses: Doctoral degree or minimum of MSN with expertise in specific area of instruction. Graduate (clinical/didactic) and Undergraduate (didactic) Courses: MSN or graduate degree in pertinent subject area; expertise in area of instruction. Undergraduate (clinical only) Courses: BSN, MSN preferred; clinical experience in specialty area; BSN applicants must have plan for continuing graduate education. Registered Dietician: Pennsylvania license as a registered dietician is required. Bachelor’s degree required. Commitment to working with diverse populations

In addition, all finalists must (a) communicate well; (b) successfully complete an interview process; and (c) (didactic only) successfully complete a teaching demonstration as judged by the department faculty. Related work experience, related teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity and service preferred.
