Position: Senior Instructor - Community Health Sciences

Duties: Contributing in current ongoing research to achieve its milestones; undertaking independent research work with the team; writing grants for the Environmental, Occupational Health & Injuries related themes; contributing to the areas of research for the group include health effects of air pollution (indoor and outdoor), occupational lung health, water and sanitation related intervention, children’s environmental health and climate change; taking on assigned academic and administrative work related to graduate and undergraduate curriculum while undertaking other scholarly activities
Requirements: MBBS with FCPS (Community Medicine)/MSc./M. Phil/Ph.D in Public Health from an HEC recognized University; at least two to three years’ of relevant experience in public health or health related field with demonstrated professional accomplishment and evidence of publications and successful performance in grant writing, and scientific/public health research & development; a defined area of scholarly focus and begun to build a body of work as demonstrated through publication, presentation, change to practice or policy and/or other forms of dissemination; the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written in English and Urdu; good teaching skills and knowledge of new teaching methodologies and practices

The department comprises five major operational units: Epidemiology and Biostatistics; Health Policy & Management; Population and Reproductive health; Environmental and Occupational Health & Injuries; and Non-Communicable Diseases. Responsibilities Based in the Unit of Environmental and Occupational Health & Injuries, you will be responsible for: contributing in current ongoing research to achieve its milestones undertaking independent research work with the team writing grants for the Environmental, Occupational Health & Injuries related themes contributing to the areas of research for the group include health effects of air pollution (indoor and outdoor), occupational lung health, water and sanitation related intervention, children’s environmental health and climate change taking on assigned academic and administrative work related to graduate and undergraduate curriculum while undertaking other scholarly activities.
