Position: Senior Actuarial Associate

Duties: You’ll leverage your skills to design and build modeling solutions in support of our initiatives and critical to our success. These include interest rate risk management and hedging, and the forecasting and analysis of investments and capital. Your principal responsibilities include: contributing to the analysis of The Standard’s risk profile by supporting hedging and interest rate risk management infrastructure; developing robust models that inform capital market decisions and supporting the growth of investment and insurance products within The Standard’s portfolio, etc
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Fellow of the Society of Actuaries {FSA} or equivalent non-US actuarial credential. Mid to Large company experience with an understanding of how an insurance actuarial community works. Effective collaboration with actuarial and business line leaders to evaluate, understand and quantify risk. Experience in analysis, particularly analysis of capital market-related economic processes. Transparent and consistent with high personal impact establishing yourself as a trusted business partner. Pro-active and self-motivated, inspiring enthusiasm about the business and engaging others to maintain our positive culture with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Position Summary In this new position, we seek your best thinking and actuarial modeling expertise to join our Corporate Actuarial Risk Management team. You’ll leverage your skills to design and build modeling solutions in support of our initiatives and critical to our success. These include interest rate risk management and hedging, and the forecasting and analysis of investments and capital. Your principal responsibilities include: Contributing to the analysis of The Standard’s risk profile by supporting hedging and interest rate risk management infrastructure. Developing robust models that inform capital market decisions and supporting the growth of investment and insurance products within The Standard’s portfolio. Partnering with other modelers on the Corporate Actuarial Risk Management team to design and develop solutions for new initiatives and to promote model control standards. Contributing to economic capital model development by helping to develop a framework for market risk, credit risk, underwriting / insurance risk, operational and other risks. Qualifications Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree required.
