Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation. Austin Health operates two Radiation Oncology Centres in Victoria. The metro hub based at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre and the Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre(BAROC) within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC)The multidisciplinary teams at both sites are committed to excellence in practice and care. Staff undertake professional development activities, are involved in clinical trials and liaise and consult with a wide range of specialists to ensure that care is offered at the leading edge of technology. An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced full time Nurse Unit Manager to join our Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for fostering a positive culture, driving change, a safe working environment and the effective utilisation of financial resources within a cycle of continuous service improvement. With a person-centred approach to evidence based care delivery, the sucessful applicant will have considerable experience in leadership, human resource management with capacity to lead and build a dynamic nursing team within the highly specilised multidisciplinary team.
