Position: Senior Automotive Application Engineer

Duties: Working closely with Simulink users and MathWorks product development teams, you will play a crucial part in helping powertrain engineering organizations optimize their development process, deliver electrified powertrain innovations, reduce control design and calibration time, and improve product quality. As an Application Engineer you will play an integral part in understanding customer needs, providing feedback to product development and marketing organizations to further improve MathWorks’ products and the way they are presented. Requirements: A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required. Candidates for this position must hold a valid work permit in Germany. Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time. Fluent German and English skills are required. Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink. 3 years of gasoline, diesel, or electrified powertrain development experience. Excellent presentation, communication and time management skills. Powertrain system modeling experience (for design or HIL)

Responsibilities Introduce MathWorks automotive products for design and calibration to electrified and conventional powertrain development teams. Identify new business opportunities in powertrain and vehicle engineering through market research and exploratory visits. Analyze customer requirements and guide product evaluations to enable adoption of MathWorks tools. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve MathWorks products for automotive powertrain and vehicle applications. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
