Position: Sales Consultant - Chemistry
Institution: Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO)
Location: Mol, Flanders, Belgium
Duties: As Account Manager you will contribute to the further development of the contract portfolio of this unit. You will work together with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, project leaders, administrative assistants and other business development managers. Researching and contacting new sales leads (organisations and individuals) to identify potential clients and new markets. Promoting VITO’s products/services addressing and predicting clients’ objectives and needs. Developing, negotiating and closing contracts. Identifying, proposing and attending conferences, meetings, and industry events. Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers, keeping them updated on new developments in VITO’s products
Requirements: You have a Master’s degree and you have experience in sales. You have 2-3 years of experience in acquiring contracts for research assignments within the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. You have excellent communication skills and you can present project results in an efficient way. You are creative negotiator able to find win-win solutions with internal and external customers. You have solid analytical skills and experience in tracking and evaluating commercial actions efficiency
   
Text: Our unit Separation- and Conversion Technology (SCT) develops technologies for the sustainability of production processes in the (bio)chemical sector, transformation of fossil fuels through raw materials based on biomass and the treatment of waste streams into high value chemicals. As Account Manager you will contribute to the further development of the contract portfolio of this unit.
