Position: Research Nurse

Duties: The role will involve participant recruitment, screening and follow up for the NIHR HTA funded ATLANTIS trial, and a multicentre trial placebo controlled randomised controlled trial led by the University of Leeds to assess the effectiveness of amitriptyline for Irritable bowel syndrome. Tasks will include recruitment, screening and follow up appointments including phlebotomy for the screening blood tests
Requirements: You will be a registered nurse with an interest in primary care research. You will have demonstrated your ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context, and will have excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and good attention to detail
   
Text: Research Nurse Primary Care and Population Sciences Location: Aldermoor Health Centre Salary: £30,395 to £37,345 Per annum (Pro rata if part time) Full Time or Part Time Fixed Term for 32 months Closing Date: Tuesday 27 November 2018 Interview Date: To be confirmed Reference: 1075318LG ATLANTIS Research Nurses 2 Part Time (0.5FTE) or a Full time position. Fixed Term, initially for 32 months from February 2019 with a view to a possible extension to 42 months. Research nurse positions are available for the ‘ATLANTIS’ trial within the Primary Medical Care Group, at the University of Southampton. You will have demonstrated your ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context, and will have excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and good attention to detail.
