We are looking for an experienced researcher to lead and coordinate activities to develop a “Testbed for IoT/CPS systems” using technologies related to wireless communications and networking, 5G and Fog Computing. The testbed will be used in several projects and will use inputs from selected partners from ongoing projects, such as, SafeCOP , HI2OT and FORA. The experienced researcher will be responsible for both the development and the management of activities related to the testbed and to supervise research assistants for testbed innovation too. The research field of the opening position is in the area of wireless mobile networks and Internet of Things. Main focus will be given to design and specify innovative use cases and solutions for the IoT networks and CPS systems. The solutions will be evaluated using a testbed platform enabled by 5G and Fog Computing technologies. The research will focus to the Edge of the IoT networks in order to provide robust IoT services to the users. Reliability, low latency and computation complexity are a few of the objectives of such a research in IoT networks. Responsibilities and tasks The researcher will have the following responsibilities and tasks: Coordination and project management of the testbed project. Research and implementation of innovative solutions Identification of the competences required at the partners in the mentioned projects. Forming of consortia between partners and companies, as well as writing of proposals to the relevant H2020 calls. Management and implementation of the testbed activities from idea to final deployment and implementation involving the Hub partners. Supervising research assistants and co-supervising PhD students The position is considered a collaboration among DTU Compute (ESE) and the DTU Fotonik (Net) departments in the broad area of IoT. The collaboration is related to 5G technologies for IoT and Fog Computing and networking for Industrial IoT. This will enhance the dissemination results on the IoT area showing DTU’s activities at large. The collaboration is considered under the umbrella of IoT Nordic Hub.
