Duties: Applicants are invited for a research assistant post within an exciting research programme concentrating on tissue engineering replacement human tissues and organs.The post holder will play a key role supporting research focussed on whole organ tissue engineering for clinical translation including oesophagus, small intestine and bladder. The post holder will contribute to the design of a range of experiments within the regenerative medicine research programme while developing their own research
Requirements: The applicant should have a Science degree in a relevant subject or Qualified to HNC/HND level in Biological Sciences (Minimum of Merit Award) or equivalent experience. Previous experience in cell culture, particularly human tissue, and cellular biology is essential. Knowledge and experience of tissue engineering techniques is desirable. Previous experience of animal models of disease is recommended

The post holder will contribute to the design of a range of experiments within the regenerative medicine research programme while developing their own research. The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance and is available for immediate start in October 2018. Previous experience in cell culture, particularly human tissue, and cellular biology is essential. Knowledge and experience of tissue engineering techniques is desirable.
