Requirements: You graduated with a PhD in biostatistics or a master in biostatistics and have at least two years work experience in scientific research or statistical consulting; You are interested to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team and know how to communicate with experts from different disciplines; You enjoy the development and/or implementation of modern biostatistics methods in research and have a lively interest in the topics «Reproducibility» and «Open Science»; Very good knowledge of the coding language R and Command of common office and web applications; Good command of German, very good command of English in speech and writing

Animal Welfare (UZH) and the Applied Statistics group (Department of Mathematics) Abteilungsbeschreibung / Description of UZH unit The position is integrated in the consulting service of the applied statistics group (chair: Prof. Dr. Reinhard Furrer) in the Department of Mathematics (Faculty of Science; located on Campus Irchel). The research of the group of Prof. Reinhard Furrer is at the interface of statistical science, computational science and interdisciplinary applications (www.math.uzh.ch/as).The Department of Animal Welfare of the University of Zurich advises and controls researchers in the planning and implementation of animal experiments and is involved in the training of specialist personnel for animal experiments. The Department of Animal Welfare consists of two Animal Welfare Officers and a 3R Coordinator and is located on the Irchel Campus. The department is directly responsible to the Vice President Research (www.tierschutz.uzh.ch). Aufgabenbereich / Responsibilities Study design, sample size calculation, data analysis as well as data presentation and interpretation of scientific results are important tools for responsible, high quality in vivo science. Therefore, the University of Zurich offers professional statistical consulting for in vivo scientists.
