This study investigates an on-site multi-component intervention (best-practice ergonomics, health promotion, neck exercise, adherence App) on Swiss office-workers to improve their productivity and to reduce the economic and personal burden of neck pain. It aims at comparing the effectiveness in office-workers without neck symptoms and those with neck symptoms. The study uses a stepped wedge randomized cluster design to compare the intervention against ‘as usual’ control, where all office-workers receive the intervention in steps. The results of the study will influence the policy regarding the management of neck pain in industrial settings.
