LECTURER Division of Emergency Medicine Department of Su rgery FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES Applications are invited for this full - time, permanent Research Officer position in the Div ision of Emergency Medicine , Department of Surgery within the Faculty of Health Sciences . The Division specialises in emergency care training, development and r esearch , and t he successful candidate will coordinate, support and ensure the smooth running of the Division’s suite of research activities related to Emerg ency Care , in addition to leading the MSc (Emergency Medicine) program . The successful candidate fo r this post must have : A PhD in a health science field Minimum 5 years postdoctoral experience in a health science field Demonstrable experience in emergency care research Demonstrable experience in coordinating an academic research group Skills and exper ience required: Demonstrable experience in higher education teaching Demonstrable experience in successful grant writing Proven experience in successfully coordinating and communicating with a diverse team of researchers Proven experience in carrying out c ore research tasks such as literature reviews, scoping of funding opportunities, writing and revising research protocols, interview guides and reports, and coordinating research review by ethics committees. Proven experience of working effectively with a b road range of stakeholders, including academics, students, NGO staff, healthcare workers and managers, and community members.
