Position: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Computer Science (AR/VR/Usability Engineering)

Duties: You will be expected to make broad contributions to the academic work of the Department of Computer Science. You will have flexibility in working with a team to deliver quality teaching, research and scholarship across the programmes within the Department. You should additionally be able to engage, both nationally and internationally, in contributions to research and teaching excellence in Computer Science within your area of expertise which should cover Augmented and Virtual Reality based systems or the application of usability engineering (or human factors) to the development of immersive systems and technology
Requirements: You should have a PhD degree in Computer Science with a specialism in AR/VR, usability engineering, human factors or a related discipline with industrial, and/or teaching experience and have demonstrated some management and administrative experience at a University level or in industry. You should also be willing to develop links with industrial and research partners to extend and further develop the research and enterprise activity of the newly developed lab

The Faculty has invested significantly (over £400k) in a laboratory to address the area of usability of AR/VR and this is an excellent opportunity to both develop and shape the curriculum in this area as well as contributing to collaboration with industry and research. You should have a PhD degree in Computer Science with a specialism in AR/VR, usability engineering, human factors or a related discipline with industrial, and/or teaching experience and have demonstrated some management and administrative experience at a University level or in industry.
